Saxion University of Applied Sciences is a comprehensive university with more then 20,000 students and approximately 1,700 employees. As a public funded institution for higher education, Saxion offers through its 13 Schools approximately 120 degree programmes (Associate Degree, Bachelors and Masters). Saxion strives for high quality education, linked with practice oriented research. Saxion has urban campuses in Deventer, Enschede and Apeldoorn in the eastern region of the Netherlands. Six expertise centres bundle the research expertise and the cooperation with companies, institutions and governments, which results in close connections with the professional practice. The School of of Applied Psychology and Human Resource Management largest Bachelor program is the Dutch government accredited Bachelor in Human Resource Management. Developing competences is the core philosophy of all education programs. Relevant to the program is the Bachelor program on Career Development and labour Market Interventions. Other programs, such as Psychology, strategic HRM, International HRM and tailor made programs are offered in conjunction with relevant consortium partners, with long term arrangements that include quality assurance mechanisms.
