Complaint Policy

Once a complaint is made, the NICE Foundation will register it within 14 days. First, we will clarify, whether the complaint concerns a structural issue , or whether the complaint concerns a singular event . The Foundation then requests a Board member respond to the complaint and to resolve it. For singular events, a solution is to be implemented within 10 days. For structural issues, a remedy is to be implemented within four weeks. The solution is recorded in the complaint register and communicated to the person who has complained within the same period of time. Registered complaints are held for three years. If complaints concern structural issues, the elections and ethics committee evaluates whether the solution is effective after three months.

If the person complaining does not agree with the given solution, the complaint will be reviewed by the European Society for Vocational Designing and Career Counseling (ESVDC) in its function as our remedy council. The remedy council will decide within three months if the given solution is justified or not. The ESVDC's guidance is binding. If the person complaining is not satisfied, they can always challenge the proposed solution in court.
