Almost 20 years have passed since the White Paper on Career Guidance was adopted in Latvia. How do the developments achieved meet current social challenges?

Dace Briede-Zālīte is an accomplished professional with a passion for empowering young people and promoting career development. Dace has a strong corporate background with a focus on people management. Currently pursuing her third master's degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Westminster in London, UK, her passion for mentoring and coaching, combined with expertise in HR, has enabled her to provide tailored HR solutions to businesses, including recruitment, headhunting, and business development. Her ongoing commitment to learning and professional development reflects her dedication to her field and her desire to make a positive impact in her community. Dace's passion for youth empowerment led her to found “Jauniešu akadēmija Pacelt Pasauli” (Youth Academy Raise the World), an NGO that inspires and motivates young people, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, pursue dreams, realize potential and achieve goals. Dace has provided career guidance and goal mapping seminars for over 20,000 young people in Latvia. Dace's contribution as a mentor and coach in the Future Heroes - Girls; Leadership program, supported by the British Council in Latvia, created impact in empowering girls ages 14-17 to become leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities. As a board member for the Latvian Career Development support association (LKAAA), Dace has actively promoted career development and professional growth in Latvia, to support individuals at all stages of their careers. Dace is a Global Coordinator for the IAEVG National Correspondents; networking Realize potential and achieve goals.
