VENUE
We are very pleased to welcome you to Liepaja , a modern city with a global outlook, but retaining the comforts typical of a small town. Liepaja is the third largest city in Latvia, with a rich tradition of culture, arts, and sports. The charming historical ambiance and fantastic beaches also make Liepaja a favorite travel destination.

The main site of the NICE Academy will be the Liepaja University main building. The University was originally established as a teacher training college in 1945 and has since grown into a regional university with faculties for Humanities and Arts, Education and social work, Life sciences and engineering, and Management and social sciences, not to mention an active Erasmus+ presence . The main seat of the university is located in the center of the city in a neoclassical building.

To introduce you to another facet of Liepaja, a second venue is offered on the second full day of the programme. We will be hosted by Liepaja State Gymnasium No.1 . The Art Nouveau building was erected in 1910-1912 and was originally a girl's school mostly attended by Russian speakers.
