Manwel Debono

Professor Manwel Debono is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a PhD specializing in career choice. He worked as a career advisor before joining the Center for Labor Studies at the University of Malta in 2003, where he has since served as an academic. From 2009 to 2014, he was the Director of the Center, playing a key role in developing various study programs, including the Master in Lifelong Career Guidance and Development. With a research career spanning over 25 years, he has contributed to numerous national and European research projects on career guidance and development, industrial relations, working conditions, and human resources. He has published extensively, including peer-reviewed papers, reports, monographs, chapters, and books.
